Joaquin Martinez

Joaquin was born and baptized in Puebla, Mexico. Joaquin migrated to the U.S. with his parents, Gabina and Hilario, when he was a teenager. He lived in California through his teen years and moved to Minnesota just after high school graduation. He went to The Saint Paul Seminary Catechetical Institute where he graduated with class of St. Theresa of Calcutta in 2018 and Discipleship.

Joaquin joined the St. Peter staff in the fall of 2020 and later assumed on the responsibilities of Maintenance Director for all three parishes in 2021. Joaquin has brought his experience and gifts in the areas of plumbing, grounds, electronics, buildings and even some electrical knowledge to our three parishes. 

Prior to this position he worked at St. Stephen under Bishop Joseph Williams as maintenance director and youth minister.

Joaquin and his wife Mary have three children Andriana, Andrea and Joaquin Jr. They reside in Crystal. 

When he is not working, he enjoys playing and watching soccer.
